There was just too much love in our hearts and in order to keep them from exploding, we needed to create an extra-long valentine’s mixtape for all you lovebirds, filled with an extra-lot of love. Sue us, sometimes we’re just girly girls, too. If you’re not in the loveydovey mood yet, this one will get you there. Chairlift – Sidewalk Safari (Sampha Edit)

Oh Sampha you are such a fuckin’ genious! Smoothly and swoonly transforms this guy the post dubstep tracks by our beloved SBTRKT into deep pieces – plus he also remixes tunes into coolness. And so he does with Chairlifts’ Sidewalk Safari, injecting space and some serious bassline into the track, slowing it down to a perfect morning tune. Enjoy and float away!

SBTRKT / something goes right ft. sampha

last night in a random apartment in berlin-friedrichshain, julia and me found ourselves lying on a couch, half-asleep, singing “up in the clouds, up up in the clouds”. good music for good times. somehow SBTRKT has managed to become one of my favourite artists of the year so far and there’s not one track by him that i don’t love. something goes right from SBTRKT’s debut album was released in june and belongs to the somewhat calmer parts of the album, but we’ll be sure to post more of his (more danceable) stuff, too.
