The independent music project from Victoria / Canada that is Germany Germany (Oh, what a name! Oh, why that name?) was already featured in my recent post about Toy Camera – a collaboration between Germany Germany and Steffaloo. Drew Harris, the man behind Germany Germany himself sums up his work with the word “Adventures”. Which is perfectly cohesive with the DIY aesthetic that forms the basis of the sound of Germany Germany: “the intention of creating something unique rather than something perfect”. Which is possibly also why his latest EP, out May 2011, is entitled Adventures. Transatlantic is one of my favourite tracks on the EP and I fell in love with the simply yet artsy yet authentic video right away.
