Yep it is that time of the week again. And we would like to enhance your Sunday with a collection of tunes as we always do. On that small compilation you’ll find that Ms Mr Remix by Chvrches, who by the way will play this upcoming Wednesday at the Berlin Introducing Show. And yes, they are pretty internet famous, so we will check out if them electro poppers are worth the hype, hailing all the way from Glasgow, Scotland and hitting a massive world tour with their Recover EP. On top you’ll find them babies of Teams on our mix, who are actually just one guy, namely Los Angeles, Miami-born producer Sean Bowie. They say about his new album “One World” that “slow meets fast, and rhythm and blues gets dropped into the year 2030″. So hold on dear friends, and let this mixtape take you higher and possibly into the future yo!

In between jumping from artsy to fartsy and back this Gallery Weekend Berlin, we put together a beat-happy PONYDANCECLYDE SUNNY SUNDAY MIXTAPE for you to shake your sweet bums to on living room tables and couches.
Try it, it can be delicious – featuring some new deliveries by old PDC favourites including Jessie Ware, SOHN, Bibio, and Conclave plus fresh discoveries Tkačuk, Employee Of The Year, Arclight and Alice Ant. Now. Have a good one, try to let shit go and eat more falafel with peanut sauce.
Female vocals and soothing electronic beats rule this week’s Sunny Sunday Mixtape. It starts off with a truly fantastic track by Irish duo Young Wonder featuring fellow countrymen Sacred Animals. Time has been on repeat for the last couple of days in my house. Next is Mount Kimbie’s latest track Blood and Form, followed by Dj Koze and Ada for some mellow homesickness. What really does make me homesick though is umami and Alle Farben’s edit of Home by Gabrielle Aplin. Because “Home is where the heart is” and mine is all about Berlin summers chilling and dancing in a park or on a bridge, barbecuing, drinking Vodka Mate and listening to some kick-ass tunes… Only now that I’m writing this and looked up the facebook pages of the artists, I found out that that was exactly the idea behind this track. Apparently they were raising funds to make the documentary “Berliner Sommer” – a film about techno and living in Berlin, featuring many of Berlin’s best DJ’s. Unfortunately they failed…
To stay in the Techno mood we do some face painting with Jacques Greene & Tinashe, got sublime Coma from Cologne and a dream wavy NIVA remix of Postiljonen. London-based Manu Delago (previous drummer and Hang player of Björk) got himself some Andreya Triana gorgeousness. And we’re introducing Brighton’s Us Baby Bear Bones - check out their self-made video for Mountains! Finally, Australian Ginger & The Ghost are one of those up and coming indie artists who’s track One Type Of Dark got remixed by Ta-ku. Listen to Red Balloon in the mix and let the Aussie sun shine into your heart!

If you’re living ze Berlin life like we are, today was a good day. You’re most likely just coming back home from a walk through the kiez with an empty takeaway coffee in your hand. Once the sun has lost its warming energy, making you remember it’s only a handful of ° warmer than those icy-ice days of the past. This mixtape is your go-to for a quiet Sunday afternoon full of anticipation of the months ahead, because there WILL be more days like this to come. Promise.
