Win tickets & Don’t miss: C.R.E.A.M. O.N. at Backyard, 5/25

cream on flyer

… Remember how mad excited we were about our DJ gig at FluxFriday here at PDC? Well apparently, we’re not the only ones getting wet eyes and dancy feet when Jay-Z hits up the speakers. Which is why we’re mad excited once more. This event that’s about to happen to Berlin is an ice-cream-lickin’ dream come true. Here’s the deal:

  • The bestest of the best Hip Hop from the 90s and 00s will be back and loud, so pull out your moves cause I wanna see them.
  • You’re free to start fingerlickin’ right now – there will be Bum Bum for everyone. That’s right, the epic ice cream from our childhood with the chewing gum stick. Priceless.
  • More yuminess is on its way, brought to you by Efas Frozen Yoghurt, because we like it sweet and melty.
  • Because it ain’t no party without the booze, your thirsty lips will be enjoying one of the finest. The produce of Kreuzberg’s Our/Berlin Vodka distillery, that is.

It was all a dream, now it´s all with C.R.E.A.M.!

Now. You guys in it to win it?

WIN IT: We wouldn’t be your PonyDance babes if we didn’t make this even creamier for you. That’s right, we’re giving away 1×2 spots on the guestlist for this biest of a party!
To win, simply be our friend on facebook and shoot us an email containing the subject line ‘C.R.E.A.M. O.N.”, your real name and a link to your favourite GIF until Friday, 1pm.

Introducing: Baby Alpaca

baby alpaca

Let me introduce you to my latest obsession. Their band name is Baby Alpaca (omg!) and one could call them The Smiths of 2013. If such a daring comparison may ever be drawn. Others might even call Singer/songwriter Chris Kittrell names such as “the young Morrissey”. The New York based lads have an EP out on June 25 this year on Atlas Chair Recordsand at this point I would like to stress the beauty in the lyrics of their newest release Sea of DreamsSunrise growing from the sea, Reflections lilac in the clouds, Sea lion’s eyes awaken me, Take me to the sea of dreams. Let’s just say my dreams are never like Chris Kittrell’s “Sea Of Dreams,” but I wish they were. Just like the animation in their new video below. Dream on.

Kelis is back as she should be: Jerk Ribs / Copy Cat

kelis - jerk ribs cover single

Been a while, huh? For some strange reason, I missed out on that lush Skream collab but that doesn’t make it less of a fact – Kelis is back sounding fresh as ever and adding some much-needed weekend-happiness to a slowly starting Friday.

Pushing boundaries in RnB ever since the start, Kelis has been completely off my radar after 2010′s Flesh Tone, now Jerk Ribs is the first single released off her follow-up album, supposedly entitled FOOD and due out in September 2013. Countdown starts now.

Video: SOHN – Bloodflows

SOHN - Bloodflows - Video still

One who already made it on this year’s best of-lists is SOHN – producing out of Vienna/London and newly signed to 4AD, he just released his first official video ever. Directed and filmed by Italian video-artist Christian Pitschl, the video to Bloodflows creates a stunning imagery around an undeniably on-the-spot piece of music. Just like the song, the visuals might at first be a little slow running and hard to take for the internet-babes among us – but once you can hold still and watch, it’s soothing and captivating and completely worth the effort.
